blues clues hosts and corporate terrorism
reminder to do close analysis of the difference between Steve, the original host of "Blues Clues" and his replacement "Joe". It really is in a nutshell emblematic of the takeover by Corporate America. Lodged in "Steve's" persona are the last lingering remnants, self-deprecating though they are, of cultural references and nods to the past. "Joe" is totally sanitized, robotic, elastic and unreal, although NEVER self-doubting, self-deprecating, musing or reflective. It's really an amazing distillation. Puts me in mind of savage satires like George Saunders' "Pastoralia"...
